Tender newborn photography - as relaxed or posed as you would want them to be
Book a SessionThe Art of Newborn Photography in Montreal
Posed newborn sessions are scheduled within the first 5–14 days of birth, when babies are most sleepy and curly. Our gentle, unhurried approach ensures your baby is always safe and comfortable throughout. Choose from the variety of wraps and props available.
My aim is to give you a luxury at-home experience in your home in Montreal or surrounding area. If you choose a posed session, I bring everything from posing bed to a hat. You need to show up with nothing but lots of love. I allow plenty of time — typically 2–3 hours — to capture every wrinkle, every tiny finger, every perfect expression.

Relaxed Newborn Session
If you choose a relaxed, lifestyle style photo session, this will capture your brand new baby in its most raw form. This session will tell stories of how the baby smiles, yawns, twitches. And capture stills of mother's smiles and father's embrace.
Typically these sessions run from 2-3 hours, your newborn will not be wrapped but dressed in his most comfy PJs. This session has the flexibility to include all the family members and it doesn't have to be in the first two weeks as the baby is not being wrapped - but anywhere between 5 days to 1.5 months is a sweet timing to schedule.

FAQ
Newborn Photography FAQs
When should I book my newborn session?
We recommend booking during your second trimester — around 20–28 weeks pregnant. Newborn sessions fill up quickly, and scheduling ahead ensures we can accommodate your due date. We hold provisional dates and confirm once baby arrives.
What is the ideal age for a newborn posed session?
The sweet spot is 5–14 days old. Babies at this age sleep deeply, curl up beautifully, and are very flexible. After two weeks, they become more alert and harder to settle for those classic curled-up poses. But if you have missed that mark, and still want a posed session - no problem, we can still do it, however skipping more complex poses.
How long does a newborn session take?
We allow 3–4 hours for a full newborn session. This gives plenty of time for feeding, settling, outfit and prop changes, and family portraits. There is never any rush — I work at baby's pace.
What should I bring to the session?
Just yourself, your baby, and anything needed for feeding. I bring all the props, wraps, hats, and outfits. If you have a special outfit or keepsake, you are welcome to bring it along.
What do I need to prepare for an in-home newborn session ?
I would want to work in the room which has the biggest window. If you have any furniture items blocking light, please slide them aside. Since babies like warmth, please ensure the room is warm and cozy.
